CLEVES is the second piece in a series of shawls and wraps inspired by the lives of the six wives of Henry VIII.
This triangular shawl is designed with a field of flowers encased in diamonds, exploding into free flowing leaves, diamonds and flowers at the bottom border.
Cleves is knit from the center neck down to the bottom edge.
Instructions are given on making the shawl smaller or larger, and it can be made with either lace or fingering weight yarn.
The pattern is both written and fully charted, with many photographs.
1 repeat of rows 9 - 14 of Chart A = approx. 2 inches (blocked)
My name is Deborah, and I design under the name ObliviousKnits. I've been making things my whole life, mostly self-taught. I taught myself to knit about 9 years ago? I got obsessed!
I also crochet, bead, paint, draw, play with fiber and drop spindle, all while watching disgusting amounts of tv. My husband and I play guitar and write songs, but mostly I like playing with YARN.
