Traveling stitch cables define inter-connected circles, and remind us of the friendships that abound through our knitting. Pattern includes stitch variations for yarn in either variegated or solid colors.
Instructions are given for making the twisted stitch traveling cables either with or without a cable needle. The method without a cable needle can be applied to making any cables in general without a cable needle!
Tip: Although the pattern is sized for adult medium in fingering weight yarn at 8 stitches per inch over stockinette, I've also made these in dark gray DK weight at 6.5 stitches per inch and a size US 2 / 2.75 mm needles for large-sized men's socks.
The variegated yarn is Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock yarn in color Rainbow. This should give you a good idea of how the stitch pattern will show up in a variegated yarn. You may also select a solid color yarn as shown to further emphasize the bold relief of the stitch pattern for a more classic look.
