Basic Skills Necessary:

  • basic decreases
  • picking up stitches
  • mattress stitch seaming

Pattern Description:

This stylish hat is formed from a single strip of 72
equilateral triangles. The strip is folded and seamed
using Mattress stitch. The brim and lining (optional
for extra warmth) are worked in English Brioche
stitch. Two contrasting yarns, a single colour or
oddments may be used.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • variable Adult sizes


  • 100g Main Colour, fingering weight yarn and 50g Contrast Colour
  • 2.5 mm needles
  • 3 mm dpns or circular needle for the brim and lining

450 meters of Fingering weight
