Pattern Description:

Right in time for spring and Easter or simply if you love little chicks I proudly present my chicks beanie.

It will fit heads with a circumreference of about 52 - 56 cm depending on yarn and gauge.
Mine is knit completely in 4-ply sock yarn. You can also use sock yarn leftovers.

There is a band of chicks all around, a field of flowers and grass and a daisy flower right at the top!

Note: for bigger heads use bigger needle size or 5-ply yarn.

Gauge:

Knitting gauge in stranded pattern: 1 x 1 inch: 8 stitches and 9 rows (2 x 2 cm: 7 stitches and 8
rows).

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

about 52 " 56 cm head circumreference(depending on yarn and gauge)
for bigger heads go up one needle size

Materials:

You need (4-ply sock yarn yardage 209 " 210 m/50g): 35g dark green, 30 g of off-white, 25 g of light green, 15 g of grass green, 10 g of orange, 7 g of black and 20 g of yellow 4-ply sock yarn.
You can also use Acrylic yarn of similar weight or also 5-ply yarn then the beanie will get more slouchy
Circular needle 40 cm 3.00 mm and 5 double pointed needles size 3.00 mm for the top of the head.
