small skill level requirement Beginner

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit, yarn over, knit front and back and garter stitch is all you need to know

Pattern Description:

This is an easy, advanced beginner pattern. Great project for car trips as it is a two row repeat. Easily make it larger or smaller. Would look gorgeous in a long run yarn!

Beautiful Madeline Tosh in Catherdral makes a nice size using 3 skeins. If you are a "one skein stasher" a scarflette would make a nice neck warmer. You can also use larger needles and just 2 skeins.

I purchased my Madeline Tosh in the Craftsy Yarn Shop. If they do not have that color, you can certainly choose a substitute or any DK weight yarn.

A cotton weight with larger needles would be great for the warmer months and give a breezy, open weave effect.

4.5 stitches to one inch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 52.5" (133 cm) across the top x 29" (74 cm) top to bottom

  • US 7 (4.5 mm) needles 32" circulars or longer
  • one stitch marker
  • 3 skeins DK weight yarn

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

Madeline Tosh Merino DK
