Doing stranded colorwork makes me happy, and this hat was just another foray into that wonderful world.
Beginning with a slipped stitch edging, the hat progresses to the fair-isle brim where a welt is worked at the top. The crown is then worked with both single and double decreases to the end. A speedy, satisfying and beautiful knit.

After 20 years of working in music and worship arts, I have had the joy of spending the last six years teaching and encouraging knitters, as well as designing knitwear.
I am hopelessly addicted to making beautiful, colorful things.
