Skill Level:

small skill level requirement Beginner

Pattern Description:

An easy introduction to cables this double breasted neck warmer, vaguely reminiscent of Victorian military uniforms, uses cables to cradle the buttons and to stand out against the seed stitch background. Easily adjustable to different sizing, this pattern has both written and charted instructions.

4.5 stitches per inch in seed stitch blocked, however gauge is not crucial to the fit of this pattern, so as long as you are close to this gauge you should be fine

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 8" wide by 24 inches long

  • 175 yards worsted weight yarn
  • Size US 6 / 4.0 mm needles
  • 6 buttons, each approximately 3/4 inch
  • tapestry needle for weaving in ends
  • Cable needle if you use one to cable, although this is a good pattern to use to learn to cable without a cable needle
