Basic Skills Necessary:
- knit
- purl
- k2tog - knit 2 stitches together
- k2tbl - knit two stitches through the back of their loops
- inc1 - increase one stitch (instructions given for an invisible increase)
Pattern Description:
This cute little beret can be made in any colors you choose and with knowledge of how to knit in the round, it is a very basic design. Other than the ribbed brim, the rest is knit completely.
The hat pattern is being sold alone, but will also be available as a set that includes a knit jumper (partially shown here) and leg warmers.
My favorite yarn for this project is Caron Simply Soft 100% acrylic (#4 med wt).
Gauge:
22 stitches and 24 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- one size will fit most 12-36 months
Materials:
- Worsted Weight Yarn - 1 skein each of Color A, Color B, Color C, Color D
- US Size 6 16-inch circular needle and 24-inch circular needle
- US Size 6 DPNs
