Pattern Description:

This is one of my most popular patterns - modern and functional
A cute cabled baby hat with single button chin fastening, earflaps and an aviator style front flap.
The single cable pattern is very simple, with a six row repeat and would be ideal for someone who is trying cable knitting for the first time.
My patterns are written in standard uk and american terms with clear instructions and plenty of pictures to guide you. It includes yarn suggestion - both american and european.
Yarn: Double knit/light worsted/8 ply

Gauge:

22st and 30 rows to a 4" (10cm square over stockinette

Materials:

  • 50 - 100 grams (1 to 2 balls) double knit/light worsted yarn
  • Pair of US size 3 (3.25mm) needles
  • Pair of US size 6 (4mm) needles
  • Cable needle
  • Stitch holder
  • Two 3/4" (18mm) buttons for aviator flap
