Pattern Description:
This is a warm winter hat using double-stranded yarn. It is knit entirely in the round with cables every 6th round. It is a very portable project that can be completed in a day!
Caron Simply Soft 100% acrylic yarn was used - divided in two and doubled for knitting. Check your gauge if you want the hat to fit snugly. If not, it may fit with more ease like a beret, which also looks perfectly fine as well!
Gauge:
Ribbing (k1, p1) 3.5 sts & 6 rounds = 1 inch
Hat 4.5 sts & 5.5 rounds = 1 inch
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- Brim Circumference - 16 inches
- Hat Circumference - 21 inches
- Height - 8-9 inches
Materials:
- 260 yds worsted weight yarn
- US Size 8 16-inch circular needle
- US Size 8 Double Pointed Needles
