Basic Skills Necessary:

  • k = knit
  • p=purl
  • kfb = make a stitch by knitting into the front and then the back of one stitch
  • k2tog = Knit the next 2 stitches together

Pattern Description:

With a brooch clasp sewn into place they can adorn hats, bags and clothes!
Or sew them onto your craft project in groups for an eye catching display.

You can use any dk felting yarn to make this purse. ( 100% pure wool handwash only yarn)

My 3 page pattern gives clear and detailed instructions for knitting , making up and felting your project.

Front wings 5g (10m, 11yds)
Back wings 4g (9m, 10yds)
Body 1.5g (2.5m, 3yds)

Recommended yarnDouble Knit or Worsted weight felting wool. To obtain a thick felt with no visible stitches ensure your yarn is 100% pure handwash only wool
Beware of "Superwash" it will not felt!!

Gauge:

tension - 14sts x 21 rows = 10cm square st st

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Felted size 10cm x 7cm

Materials:

  • knitting needles 6.5mm
  • US 10 1/2
  • UK Size 3

You Will Also Need:

  • Sew on brooch back (pin)

Suggested yarn:

24 yards of DK weight
