Pattern Description:

Spring is here and the flowers are blooming. As is this sock! Both the color and the pattern just BURST!

burst: to break open, apart, or into pieces usually from impact or from pressure within; to give way from an excess of emotion; to emerge or spring suddenly


36 sts = 4" over st st

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • adult women's average/medium size, although size can be easily modified by either adding or subtracting an equal number of purl stitches to the pattern in the purl background
  • 7 1/2" foot circumference; 5" approximate leg length


  • 350-380 yards of fingering weight yarn such as The Plucky Knitter Primo MCN, Madelinetosh Tosh Sock, Malabrigo Yarns Sock, Miss Babs Yummy Superwash Sock
  • Size Size US 1 (2.25mm) or size to obtain gauge, either DPNs or circular needles
