Increasing, decreasing and knitting two sets of stitches together

Pattern Description:

A vintage-style cape of delicately layered ruffles.

The cape is worked from the
bottom up. Each ruffle is knitted
separately and then joined to the
cape by a row where stitches from
the two pieces are knitted together.
This is not a difficult pattern, it just
involves a lot of knitting!

Gauge:

30 sts and 44 rows to 10cm over
st st using 2.75mm needles - tension
is not vital, as the cape simply drapes
over the shoulders.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

One size only Width at top of first ruffle: approx 115cm (451/2in) Width at collar, gathered by ribbon: 24cm (91/2in) Length: approx 45cm (171/2in)
