Picture yourself in this light-as-a-breeze stole featuring a field of flower-like medallions centered with nupp "buds". As enjoyable to knit as it is lovely to wear.
Although this stole appears to have complex shaping, it is actually knitted on the same number of stitches from end to end. I've designed this stole to leverage both illusion and the blocking process to achieve the shaping:
1. An illusion is created by the varying width of the garter stitch rows along the side edges as they dip into the main stitch area at regular intervals.
2. Accentuating the points during the blocking process (blocking guide photos included in pattern).
Construction: worked flat in rows from end to end in one piece, no sewing or grafting
18 stitches = 4 inches over blocked lace stitch
700 yards of Fingering weight
