Inspired by a crochet pattern, my mom found in an old knitting magazine, this pattern came into existence.
It(tm)s fun and colorful!
Choose your favorite 4 colors and make the pattern your own.
You can use 4-ply sock yarn of any manufacturer. But also Acrylic yarn of similar weight. If you knit it in 5-ply yarn you will get a more slouchy version.
It has a one-color ribbing and then comes the cute easy to remember overall pattern.
There are at most two colors in one round! So it(tm)s easier to knit than you think!
At the top there is a star!
You could also add a colorful pompon if you like.
It has many color changes but if you weave in the yarn tails during knitting, there are only the beginning and ending yarn tails you have to weave in at the end with a tapestry needle.
The pattern can easily turned into a beret, too just by adding additional pattern repeats and blocking it over a dinner plate. Notes for this version are also included.
Happy knitting!
