What better statement than having your baby wear a breast hat to promote breast feeding? This cute little hat is knit from the top down or bottom up, in the round on circular or double pointed needles with an I-cord beginning for the "nipple. The "areola is customizable and the brim features two finishing options; rolled brim or ribbed brim. The rolled brim allows the hat to grow with the child and the ribbed brim ensures a snug fit. Hat is sized to come down over the ears so that while making a statement, it is also practical and keeps baby3/4s little ears warm and toasty. Sizes run from preemie to large adult. (doesn3/4t everyone need a breast hat?!?) Make one for yourself, raise awareness for breast cancer or as a gift for a friend who likes a good giggle!" Pattern includes both centimeters & Inches, top down or bottom up instructions, 2 brim options; rolled or ribbed. Also, suggestions for using different weight yarn.
18sts in stockinette in the round = 4" (10cm)
I was 4 when my grandmother taught me to knit. I have since enjoyed all sorts of needle work; crochet, cross stitch, needlepoint, quilting. However, my love is knitting and designing seamless and classic garments for children :)
