The inspiration for the Bouquet Scarf design was from a Japanese book of lace stitches. The simple flower lace motif, with two leaves for support, is separated by horizontal borders of garter stitch lines. The 4 vertical panels of flowers create intertwined circles of flowers. Combined, these lace flowers make a lovely bouquet.
The beginning and ending borders are a feminine frill of the same floral motif worked in the main scarf.

Fell in love with knitting as a young lass, and decades later... there is still so much more to learn, from fancy lace stitches to interesting Japanese knitting techniques. I am particularly smitten with traditional lace, texture and colourwork stitches from different cultures, and incorporate those inspirations into my patterns.
