Pattern Description:

This is a good beginner’s colorwork project. The color chart and instructions are straight forward and easy to follow.

It uses about 75 yds of red and 75 yds of black. You’ll also need just a small amount of white for one round at the center.

Different sizes can be achieved using different needle sizes, and differing weights of yarn.

Gauge:

20 sts x 26 rows = 4" x 4" over colorwork

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Medium

Materials:

  • 1 skein of Cascade 220 Worsted yarn in black
  • 1 skein of Cascade 220 Worsted yarn in red wine heather
  • Small amount of Cascade 220 Worsted yarn in cream
  • US size 5 & 6, 16” circular or dpns, or size needed to get the correct gauge.

You Will Also Need:

  • Stitch markers
  • Tapestry needle
