This sweet little bag is just the right size for a wallet, cellphone and keys. It has the perfect vintage, one-of-a-kind look, but is relatively quick and easy to make.
The textured cable pattern lifts the Bijoux Falls Purse out of the ordinary, but is actually very simple and a perfect first project for a knitter new to cabling.
The crochet flower is an optional extra - full instructions are given.
This little purse will certainly get noticed, and works well for the day or evening.
22-23 stitches to 4"/10cm in cable pattern on larger needles; 16-17 stitches to 4"/10cm in stocking (stockinette) stitch on smaller needles.

I learned to knit and crochet as a young girl from my mother and great-grandmother, who I remember was constantly making little blankets to send to African children in need. Life intervened and I put my needles down for many years.
I've recently rediscovered knitting in a big way and have been challenging myself to try new techniques.
I am really excited to have started writing my own knitting patterns and dyeing yarn. You can find out more about my collaborations, dyeing experiments and knitting projects on my website, www.stitches-studio.com
