Pattern Description:

When a neighbor became a first time grandmother I designed this hat in honor of her new granddaughter, Beau.

This is an easy to knit roll brim hat, with a decorative trim and fanciful knitted flower sewn on. It is knit in the round.

18 stitches and 24 rows = 4 inches/10 cm

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Baby: circumference 13"/33 cm. Toddler: circumference 15-1/2"/39.5 cm


  • Worsted Weight (10-ply) yarn, 150 yds/137 m to 200 yds/183 m
  • Knitting needles size US #8/UK #6/5 mm, circular needle and/or double pointed needles
  • Stitch markers
  • Tapestry needle

  • Sewing thread and needle
  • Knitting needles, size US #2/UK #12/2.75 mm
