  • Charted and written stitch instructions are given for the first version
  • Charted instructions only for the other three versions

Pattern Description:

So delicate and exquisite - the beauty of lace combined with tiny beads! This pattern is a mini study in four variations of a helix cable design for you to explore and compare the effect of different beaded lace techniques.

Pattern includes finishing instructions for your choice of bookmarks or bracelets.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 1.75 by 6.5 inches on size 4/0 needles
  • 2 by 7.5 inches on size 3/0 needles
  • Length can easily be adjusted by working more or fewer row repeats

Materials:

  • Size 8 perle cotton thread or equivalent
  • US 3/0 (1,5 mm) or 4/0 (1.25 mm) needles
  • Size 11/0 (2 mm) seed beads
  • Approx 35 yards of yarn/thread and 2g of beads for each bookmark or bracelet. Please consider additional yarn and beads if making larger.

You Will Also Need:

  • Bead stringing needle - Your choice of any small-eyed or collapsing eye needle that can pass through the hole in your beads. Examples are a regular sewing needle or a nylon dental floss threader.
  • Optional bracelet clasp - Your choice of toggle and ring closure, hooks and eyes, or similar.
