Ski hat is knit using an old Scandinavian technique called "two-end" knitting. This simple technique will keep the hat warm, wind resistant and surprisingly soft. It also takes less yarn than Fair Isle.
Hat begins with the earflaps and is joined in the round and worked up to the crowning for a no-seam finishing.

I am a knitting instructor, published designer and mother of 2 teenage girls.
I am obsessed with knitting, love vegetable gardening and cooking.
My designs can be seen in over a dozen books and magazines as well as my "How To" knitting articles.
My latest endeavor is taping some "How To" knitting DVD's. So new that they are still in the editing stages.
