Pattern Description:
Ski hat is knit using an old Scandinavian technique called "two-end" knitting. This simple technique will keep the hat warm, wind resistant and surprisingly soft. It also takes less yarn than Fair Isle.
Hat begins with the earflaps and is joined in the round and worked up to the crowning for a no-seam finishing.
Gauge:
4.75 sts = 1" in St st
6 sts = 1" in twining technique
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- 4 sizes from baby to adult
Materials:
- 90 (100 11, 128) yds of worsted wool
- 10 yds of contrasting color for trim work
- US 9 16-inch circular needles and dpn's
