Pattern Description:

aviatrix is a fun, fast pattern for the cutest, best fitting baby helmet you will find. Worked on straight needles with instructions for 3 weights of yarn and 6 basic sizes this will become your "go to" last minute baby hat pattern, unassuming when it comes off the needles it needs to be placed on a baby's head to reveal it's true potential!

Gauge:

Sport: 24sts x 30 rows = 10cm over stst
DK: 22 sts x 26 rows
Worsted: 16 sts x 22 rows

Materials:

The pattern is written for 3 weights of yarn: sport, DK and worsted,there are many different sizes so the amounts vary between 24g and 80g.
sport: 3 and 3.25 mm needles
DK: 3.5 and 4mm needles
Worsted: 4.5 and 5.5mm needles
darning needle

This is a great, easy to understand pattern. I made it a bunch of times and used it as a way to practice my short rows. I found the Japanese method of doing short rows to be the most attractive for this pattern (although I tried it later in a pair of socks and was much less impressed).
