Exploring the Mt Aspiring National Park wilderness is an unforgettable experience with its striking landforms, from soaring mountains to tranquil river flats, braided river valleys, native beech forests and lush alpine meadows that give way to the dramatic glaciated Southern Alps. At its heart is Mt Aspiring, the park's highest mountain at 3,033m. Known in Maori as "Tititea' or glistening peak, this area holds a special place in my heart and was the inspiration behind this design. Aspiring has options for knitting both a beanie and slouch version.
