Pattern Description:

A scalloped hat brim which fits loosely and slightly away from the face is reminiscent of southern charm. The Arabella Hat and Headband pattern is a pleasing combination of cables and moss stitch. Several knitting techniques are incorporated into the design and the results are unusual, feminine and attention-grabbing.

The Arabella Hat and Headband are perfect gifts and unique items to sell in your upscale boutique or shop. This hat goes well with casual and dressy attire.

The hat and headband can be knit with a variety of yarn weights. This pattern uses a bulky weight with a gauge of 15 stitches x 22 rows in a 4 x 4 inch square using a U.S. Size 10 needle. Because of the construction of the hat, the instructions are easily adaptable to different weights of yarn. Instructions to modify the pattern and yarn requirements for worsted weight are included.
