Geometric yet feminine, Aprs la pluie is a striped shawl with an interesting shape that will wrap your shoulders and stay put however you decide to style it. Thin columns of slipped stitches add some visual interest to the geometic shape. An all-around built in I-cord edging gives a neat finish to the piece and creates the final scalloped border (there will be a little grafting !).
The shawl is proposed with generous dimensions, but it is extremely easy to customise the size and instructions to do so are provided.
Colour options are endless, but this is an ideal opportunity to use a favorite variegated skein, pairing it with a contrasting solid will work every time.

I taught myself how to knit a few years ago, when I was unemployed, and I havent been able to put down my needles since ! (though I did get a job eventually). I knew how to crochet before then, my grand mother taught me during a long summer holiday, but the needles sort of have taken over the hook.
Whenever I take interest into a craft, I like to understand it as much as I can and explore its possibilities. So far, altering patterns and now designing are my way of learning some more, and I hope youll enjoy the outcome.
