  • provisional cast on, knitting in the round, three needle bind off

Pattern Description:

It's the subtle details that matter with the Annecy Beret. A knitted hem is used to create a sleek and firm brim, while a simple diagonal lace pattern imparts loads of cushy texture in a chic spiraling style. Use Knit Picks Gloss HW yarn to give the beret warmth and body with a silken sheen. The hat comes in two sizes to fit a small adult (or teenage) head and a larger adult head. The sample shown is knit in the large size.

4 stitches and 5.5 rows = 1 inch in lace pattern on US7 needles

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • small adult/teen (18" brim), and large adult (20" brim)

  • 330 yards of aran-weight yarn for all sizes

You Will Also Need:

  • US 6 and US 7 circular needles, marker, yarn needle
