Inspired by the beautiful facets and shapes of natural crystals and gems, Amethiste is a fun and fast project to knit as well as being a versatile shawl to wear. The wide triangle shape drapes easily over the shoulders or around the neck in a variety of stylish ways. Knit from the top down in a choice of two sizes, this design showcases just one or two skeins of special fingering weight yarn.
The pattern begins with a simple stockinette section followed by easy lace patterns that flow smoothly from one into the other. Both written & charted instructions, plentiful photos and a link to a film demonstrating the garter tab foundation method are included to make the knitting a breeze.
Approximately 18 sts x 27 rows = 4" in stockinette stitch after stretching and blocking
