Pattern Description:

I had so much fun designing and knitting this beautiful, textured set! I was inspired by a stitch pattern from a sweater I had made and the need to keep my shoulders warm on yet another cold, January day in Iowa. The texture reminded me of the bark on our Ash tree. An easy to knit honeycomb stitch makes pockets on the inside to trap the warmth against your body.

This pattern is for the capelet with a cowl collar to stand up at the neck or fold down as you wish. Wear the capelet as a fashion accent, for those times when you need something over your shoulders inside or put it over your jacket or coat to keep the chill off your neck outdoors.

The set looked so good on our beautiful daughter, Amy, that I named it in her honor.

There are separate patterns for hat, mittens and fingerless mitts to match.

I taught most of our children how to knit and have taught others through my LYS over the past several years. I love sharing my passion ...
