Basic Skills Necessary:

Pattern Description:

Allegra is a top down triangular shawl.
We start the work with an easy garter tab.
Worked in garter stitch, the shawl has a few lacy details created by elongated stitches.
If worked with self striping sock yarn as color B or C, Allegra shawl can have a most colorful look.


26 stitches and 40 rows in 4" X 4" in garter stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • ***measurements after blocking 76" wingspan and 20" height at center back


  • 3 skeins with different colors of sock yarn (colors: A = 227 yds, B = 394 yds and C = 210 yds)
  • US 4/3.5 mm circulars with 30" extension or longer

You Will Also Need:

  • 4 stitch markers; Darning or tapestry needle; T- pins for blocking.

Suggested yarn:

830 yards of Sport weight

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

Trico Trico sock yarn


colors A = Raio de Sol, B = Ip and C = Uva
