Alivia is a unique, triangular shawl worked from the bottom point to the upper edge. The beautiful lace border remains the focal point of the shawl and with two center stitch options, it can be worn either formally or casually. Modifying for lesser or greater yardage, or a different weight of yarn, is as easy as repeating the second chart fewer or more times.
Instructions are provided in both row by row written instruction and chart form.
22.5 sts and 33 rows = 4" (10 cm) in stockinette stitch
Getting exact gauge is not critical, but gauge may affect the finished size of your shawl and the yardage necessary to complete it.

I'm a twenty-something Pacific North westerner living in Olympia, Washington. I first learned to knit in the Fall of 2005 and after much self-teaching and practice, began designing my own patterns in early 2010. I know I'm not alone when I say I can't imagine life without my knitting! :)
