  • increase and decrease

Pattern Description:

This pattern was originally designed for a hat contest where all proceeds went to a local charity. I wanted something adorable and classy to win the heart of the judges. I did some research and found cupcake hats. And that's when the idea popped into my head. A party with cake/cupcakes isn't complete until you have Neapolitan Ice Cream!


6sts/8.5 rows per inch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Newborn - 18 months


  • 3 skeins of at least 65 yards
  • Size US 2 and 4 circular needles 16"+
  • 2-4 Cotton Balls or stuffing
  • 2 Stitch Markers
  • Tapestry Needle
  • Some yarn stash of red and green - only a few yards needed
