Bell Sleeve Shrug Pattern

Pattern Description:

The Bell Sleeve shrug is a perfect addition to any little girl's wardrobe. It can be worn with jeans over T-shirt for casual look; or it can be paired with a beautiful dress for a more dressed up look.

The shrug is worked all in in ONE PIECE, seamlessly top down, just weave in a loose ends and it's ready to be worn. It is also a very QUICK knit (about 6 - 8 hrs), so it's a great WEEKEND project or as a GIFT. Great STASH BUSTER project.

I made these shrugs for my daughters a few years ago and to this day they love wearing them - I just have to keep making bigger sizes.

Gauge:

17 sts and 23 rows = 4" x 4" in St st with US size #8 (5mm) needles.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 4 (6, 8, 10, 12, 14) yrs
  • FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Back: 9 3/4 (11, 11 3/4, 13 1/2, 14, 14 3/4)" - back measured from underarm to underarm
  • Close fitting

Materials:

  • 300 (300, 450, 450, 600, 600) yd of worsted weight yarn
  • One circular US size #8 (5mm) 24" or 29" or 32" long (depending on the size you are making) needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN CORRECT GAUGE.
  • One set of 5 dpn US size #8 (5mm) needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN CORRECT GAUGE.

You Will Also Need:

  • Stitch markers
  • Stitch holders
  • Tapestry needle
