This is a high level intermediate project. You should be very comfortable with basic tools; have good wire handling skills, and be able to at least complete a neat binding wrap.

Pattern Description:

This design is a continuation of my Marcella Swarovski Crystal Ring. Knowing that design tutorial is helpful, but not required.
This design has an almost limitless variety of possibilities. By simply choosing different shapes of preset crystals (sew-ons), or the holes on the sew-on you choose to thread the wire through, you can drastically alter the look of the ring. This style is also easier to adjust the sizing without adding beads to or removing beads from the band. There is a ring chart at the back of the tutorial to aid in sizing.
This tutorial is 30 pages packed with well over 100 full color photographs for the visual learner and 78 detailed steps for the textual learner - almost as good as having me right there with you. There is 3 design variations, direct links to tools, supplies and suppliers included.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

ring is made to size

Materials:

10 inches (25.4cm) 22 or 24ga square 1/2 hard wire
9 inches (22.9cm) 24ga round dead soft wire
12 inches (30.5cm) 20ga 1/2 round 1/2 hard wire
(2) pear shape crystals in 4 hole settings (commonly referred to as sew-ons) 13x7.8mm or 10x6mm
(6) 4mm bicone beads
3mm round beads (quantity will depend on ring size - average is 7 to 9 beads
Flat nose pliers, chain nose pliers, flush cutters
Ring mandrel, jewelers ruler, cleaning cloth
1/2" or 3/4" inch dowel, small clamp
