Basic Skills Necessary:

  • You should have some wire knowledge and basic beading tools.

Pattern Description:

This lesson shows you how to make a gorgeous ring. The ring has a lovely basket woven ring shank and is finished by creating a decorative focal part using your own style of creativity, - with or without beads.
You will learn how to properly size the ring and I will guide you through each and every step, as well as give you suggestions on different techniques to decorate and finish the focal part.
All measurements, including wire gauges, are given in both Imperial and Metric values throughout this tutorial.


  • Chain nose pliers ? Round nose pliers ? Flat nose pliers ? Wire cutters ? Ruler ? Masking tape ? Permanent marker (sharpie) ? Ring Mandrel
  • 36" (~90cm) of 21ga (0.7mm) square wire. ? 48" (~122cm) of 21ga (0.7mm) 1/2 round 1/2 hard wire. ? Beads of your choice, to fit onto wire. Recommend 4mm or smaller (seed beads size 8/0)
