Type:

Ring

Skill Level:

medium skill level requirement Intermediate

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • This is a high level intermediate to advanced tutorial - It assumes you have a very good grasp of basic wire handling skills and terminology. I define basic wire handling skills as cleaning and straightening wire; good control of square wire and flat nose pliers; completing a basic binding wrap; and creating loops and hooks. If you feel you need to build your wire wrapping skills before tackling these rings, please see my Back to the Beginning Bracelet tutorial http://www.craftsy.com/pattern/jewelry/bracelet/back-to-the-beginning----bracelet/20367 written for the beginning wire artist from square one!

Pattern Description:

The Clasped Ring evolved because of a simple need to get a ring on and have it fit comfortably despite enlarged knuckles from arthritis.

I walk you through the construction of 3 different style variations using a wide variety of materials, with suggestions for alternatives. At the end of the tutorial, I include all my favorite links for tools (with photos), materials, and suggestions for alternate sources. There is also a ring size chart to help you create your perfect ring.

There is 44 pages with a whopping 174 full color detailed photographs and 122 steps for both the visual and instructional learner. Don't let the file size scare you - This eBook covers 3 FULL VARIATIONS!!!

And a little icing on the cake - tutorial includes a coupon code for 30% off future purchases in my Etsy Shop http://www.MyWiredImagination.Etsy.com
Tutorials for individual ring variations (coming soon) will not have this code.

There I said it :), though I have no intention of looking for a 12-step program to "cure" my addiction. lol It is an almost all consuming obsession. I keep a sketch book with me all the time, and drive friends nuts - Very often I'll be in the middle of a sentence, when an idea pops in my head, and I immediately scramble for my book to jot it ...
