Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Adding beads to woven wire (free tutorial available. see description for link)

Pattern Description:

This lesson teaches you a unique and versatile way to add flair to gemstone donut beads. The variations to the technique taught in this tutorial are limitless.

This tutorial does not teach how to make the beaded dangles at the bottom of the pendant. If you don't know how to make them already, you can find a tutorial for them on my web-site.

You will also need to know how to weave with wire and how to add beads to a weave. There are also tutorials for that available on my web-site.

Materials:

  • 24" of 18 ga Round Soft Wire
  • 9" of 28 ga Round Soft Wire
  • 1 2" (50mm) Donut Bead
  • 7 or 8 4mm Round Beads

You Will Also Need:

  • Chain nose pliers
  • Round nose pliers
  • Wire cutters
  • Flat nose pliers
  • Needle file or wire rounder
  • Any marker that will write on metal
  • 1" wide clamp (Optional. You may use tape if you do not have a clamp)
