This is an easy beginner tutorial - you will have the best results though if you are familiar with basic tools and techniques such as straightening wire, and creating simple loops and spirals.

Pattern Description:

I've seen lots of great patterns for ribbons in tons of different mediums, but none in wire - until now.
This is an easy wire project to create a lasting 'ribbon' in wire. Most of the bending can be done with just your fingers. Artistic wire seems to have been made for this project - It's easy to bend, and it comes in lots of great colors to match just about any awareness ribbon you'd like to create.
I include a great link at the end of the tutorial to an extensive list of awareness ribbons colors and what they represent.

This tutorial is 20 pages with 51 steps that covers 2 ways to create the pendant. There is 70 clear crisp photos and detailed directions for both the visual and instructional learner.

Materials:

9 to 11 inches (22.9 to 27.9cm) 18ga round wire dead soft - Artistic wire suggested.
6 inches (15.2cm) 28, 26, or 24ga round wire dead soft - Artistic wire suggested.
Optional: Matching crystal sew-on round or pear shape (size is up to you). A simple bead would even work.
Round nose pliers; flat nose pliers; chain nose pliers; flush cutters.
Small diameter wooden dowel or pen or similar round object to bend the wire on.
Optional: Bail making pliers
