Pattern Description:

I had so much fun making these pendants that I made eight of them in less than a week!

This richly-textured and layered oval pendant brings to mind jewelled Faberge eggs - for a fraction of the price. Start with a base constructed using right angle weave, and add an intricate latticework of seed beads accented with fringe beads, drops and faceted beads, finishing off the whole with either a beaded-on bail, or growing a herringbone chain directly off the end.

  • Size 11 seed beads (small amount)
  • Size 8 seed beads (small amount)
  • 8mm fire-polished beads (12)
  • 9x7mm fire-polished long-drilled drop beads (8)
  • 4mm fire-polished beads (8)
  • Japanese fringe beads (small amount)
  • 4x6mm drop beads (8)
  • Your favourite beading needle
  • Your favourite beading thread

You Will Also Need:

  • good lighting
  • thread conditioner (optional)
  • scissors!
  • beading surface
