I've been designing beaded jewelry for about 8 years. My initial attempts at designing were to make beautiful jewelry with semi-precious (healing) stones. The beads kind of took over my life and I'm not particular what I use to design with as long as it is a high quality bead.
I can't say I have a favorite stitch or type of bead, but lately I've been experimenting with the new Twin beads and Super Duos.
Next on my to-do list is design some items with Cubic Right Angle Weave with the Twins. It works in my head, now to put thread and beads to it.
Work this contoured flower in brick or peyote stitch, add a ladder stitch stem and a couple of peyote leaves for a bail and you have a beautiful flower to wear at your neck or give as a gift to someone special.
On the pattern pages, I have provided you with:
Large full color lettered graph for the flower
Suggestion for bead sizes
Step by step illustration and text instructions for the bail
Photograph of finished pendant
Approximate Finished size:
3 inches long X 2.5 inches wide if worked with size 11 czech beads and size 15 seed beads
Size 11 Czech seed beads, Size 15 seed beads
Pages to Print:
