Pattern Description:

This full color 36-page PDF is one of my most elaborated tutorials. Lots of illustrations, pictures and explanations how to create your very own beautiful Ishtar's Collars. Hints and tips are also dispensed. Every step is thoroughly explained.

This design is taking further 3 major techniques from Kate McKinnon's books Contemporary Geometric Beadwork Vol. I and II to which I contributed as part of the editorial team. You will explore:
- the horns - my horns are smoother than the 'regular' ones
- the Modified Helix Skirt, built on a variation of an Elegant Guide Round.
- the MRAW band combined with Tila beads
You will also learn how to make the open work at the top of the necklace, and to make slits for passing ribbon through, and how to add the little flowers at the bottom of the beadwork.

This project is for advanced beaders, but a motivated intermediate beader will certainly be able to make it, and see her / his skills grow while having quality beading time making a beautiful design. It is very pleasant to make, and builds up faster than one might expect.

Hi,
I live in Switzerland since 1980; my husband is Swiss, and most important, he's wonderful.

I started beading in 2004. Off-loom beadweaving and bead embroidery are my favorite beading techniques.

I won the FMG Grand Prize Gold Medal in 2006 for a Seed bead jewelry set called "Roma" and a gold medal in the fiber arts category. In 2007 another choker received a bronze medal and in 2009 ...
