Pattern Description:

*** Sale ***

Learn how to cover any object with any bead. This tutorial will use single needle right angle weave to cover dimensional objects with any other size or shape bead beads, including seed beads.

In the example project we will use a 12mm base bead and lots of colorful crystals. The multicolor beaded bead photo shows the actual project done within the tutorial. The other projects shown are a few of the numerous variations covered within the tutorial.

Use your beaded bead as a pendant or in any necklace or bracelet project.

The wire work in any photo is not included in the tutorial.

One photo shows an oddly shaped object, a miniature perfume bottle. You can also cover odd shaped objects with the data in this tutorial.

This is a very advanced tutorial. You should be proficient in, and be able to properly weave a flat 5 row x 5 row square of flat bead fabric in single needle right angle weave. You will definitely have trouble with this tutorial if you cannot do that first. The instructions for this are in my Bead Woven Fabric Tutorial. This is included FREE when you download this tutorial.

This tutorial is designed to teach you how to cover any object with any kind of bead. However, I have found it easier for some students to follow a specific project in order to learn the technique.

The materials list below is what you would need to follow the exact project in the tutorial. It is not necessary for every student to follow along in this manner. Some students do get the concepts simply by reading the tutorial.

Quantities of each color used in the tutorial example bead are:
12 Olivine, 10 Sapphire, 11 Hyacinth, 11 Blue Zircon, 14 Fuchsia, 12 Tanzanite. I recommend having a couple extra of each color to be safe.

MATERIALS SUBSTITUTIONS
The possibilities are endless. For this tutorial you will want to stick with 4mm Swarovski crystals and the round 14mm as the base bead. Once you practice this technique you will have the ability to cover anything with any kind of bead!

You do not have to use the same colors that I chose (they were chosen just for the camera). You will find it easier to follow if you use the same or similar colors.

You could choose other base beads but stick to 14mm round to follow this tutorial exactly.

PRACTICING AND LEARNING INCREASING AND DECREASING
To learn increasing and decreasing you should have a 5 x 5 square of 4mm crystals woven in single needle right angle weave. This will take 70 4mm crystals, any color (I used Tanzanite in the tutorial. This is covered in the Bead Woven Fabric Tutorial which is included free with this tutorial.
Additionally, for the increasing a descreasing portion I used 20 blue, 20 green and 3 pink

The tutorial contains over 60 pages with over 190 full color step by step photos with textual descriptions. No reason to be intimidated by the length. It's long because I included every detail and lots of examples.

You Will Also Need:

  • Size 10 or 12 beading needles
  • Round nose pliers, fine wire cutter
  • Fine scissors or other thread cutting tool
