- Knowledge of how to use basic jewelry tools.
Pattern Description:
Make these cute earrings by shaping then forging (hammering) heavy gauge copper wire, coil the pieces together and add in beautiful briolettes, pearls, and crystals. Also learn how to make ear wires.
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- The finished size of the earrings is 1 1/8" at their widest point and measuring from the top of the chain to the bottom of the dangles is 2 1/2".
Materials:
- 2 14-15 mm briolettes
- 3' 16-gauge dead soft wire
- 5" 20-gauge dead soft wire
- 8' 26-gauge dead soft wire
- 16 3 mm freshwater pearls and/or 3-4 mm crystals
- 2" chain
- 12 2" head pins
- 12 5 mm jump rings
- 2 2 mm round beads
You Will Also Need:
- Flush cutters
- Round nose pliers
- Chain nose pliers
- Flat nose pliers
- Wire straightening pliers
- Ring mandrel
- Chasing or goldsmith's hammer
- Bench block
- 12" ruler
- Sharpie
- Low stick blue painter's tape
