I live on an orange ranch with my husband and two small children. Keeping them happy is a full-time job, but I still manage to squeeze in some time to knit or draw or sew whenever I can. Even though the days of crafting away an entire afternoon (ok, entire day) are gone, the joy of giving my kids something I made by hand makes up for it.
I love the challenge of designing something and ripping it out or starting over and trying again until I make it right. I really, really love to say, "I made that!"
One day I plan to write and illustrate some clever children's books, and maybe some strange art books for adults.
Use up leftover fabric from other projects to make these cute earrings. Every time I wear mine, I always get about a million compliments. They're one of my favorite pairs of earrings, and since they are made of fabric, they're really lightweight. I have three piercings in each ear, so I like to wear them with a pair of metal dangly earrings in front for a really cool textured effect.
Do you, too, want to get a million compliments and feel absolutely awesome that you're so crafty and clever?
I present to you for your crafting pleasure a clear, concise tutorial detailing how to make these earrings. It's full of illustrations and includes tips for success and variations so you can customize to your heart's content. Hooray!
