Learn to create basic macram knots using various gauges of wire...
This class will focus on an alternating half hitch knot. You will create 3 bracelets each with a unique variation. The first will be a simple straight forward pattern with a bead in between each knot, the second will incorporate more beads, some even in the knots themselves. The last bracelet uses multiple strands of wire and for a chunkier look.
Materials:
- Bracelet #1
- 24" - 20 gauge wire
- 8 beads various sizes
- Bracelet #2
- 24" - 20 gauge wire
- 12 - 24 beads various sizes
- Bracelet #3
- 48" - 22 gauge wire
- 8 beads various sizes
You Will Also Need:
- Safety glasses
- Flush cutters
- Round nose pliers
- Flat nose pliers or chain nose
- Nylon jawed pliers (optional)
- Ruler or tape measure
- 1/2" - 3/4" dowel or mandrel

This has really been a great year for me. I got to travel to Bead Fest in New Mexico and Philidelphia. I taught the class wrist rainbow. The pattern is now in my pattern store here at craftsy. In the past I have taught at local bead and craft stores. I love to give private lessons. I have been teaching for over 5 years now and beading for close to 10. My passion is really wire, although I do love to mix different media like bead weaving and wire.
