Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Knowledge of how to use basic jewelry tools.

Pattern Description:

In this tutorial, you will learn how to create a heavy-gauge frame, add beads securely to the frame with fine-gauge wire, then cross weave the beads. This cuff ends up being about 3/4" wide but you can make it narrower or wider. If you make it wider, you will need more material than what is listed.

I love this cuff and it is my #1 tried on cuff at shows, my #1 selling tutorial, my #1 selling kit, and my #1 selling finished piece of jewelry!

The complete kit for this project is available for purchase on my website at http://www.jewels-by-jules.com/jewelry-kits-woven-wire-jewelry-kits-wire-wrapped-jewlery-kits.htm.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • In the tutorial, you will be instructed on how to size the bracelet to fit your wrist.

Materials:

  • 30 6 mm round or potato-shaped bronze pearls
  • 25 4-5 mm round or potato-shaped peacock pearls
  • 1 strand 3 mm round or potato-shaped peacock pearls (NOTE: These can be hard to find so they can be substituted with equal sized seed beads)
  • 1/2 strand 3 mm jade beads (NOTE: These can also be substituted with equal sized seed beads)
  • 30 6 mm bicone crystals (I used light amethyst AB Swarovski crystals)
  • 65 4 mm bicone crystals (I used golden shadow Swarovski crystals)
  • 55 Bali daisy spacers
  • 18" 14-gauge craft wire (I used bare copper wire that I oxidized to make it an antique copper color)
  • 25' 26-gauge craft wire (I used ParaWire Antique Copper colored wire)

You Will Also Need:

  • Flat nose pliers
  • Chain nose pliers
  • Wire straightening pliers
  • Ruler
  • Permanent marker (Sharpie)
  • Low stick tape (blue painter's tape, available at hardware stores)
  • Bracelet mandrel (optional)
