Malcolm Gladwell talked about mastery of a skill in his book Outliers: The Story of Success. He said, "In fact, by the age of twenty, the elite performers (violinists) had each totaled ten thousand hours of practice". I'm still working on my ten thousand hours of knitting, sewing, quilting, and machine embroidery--and loving every minute of it.
Learning new things every day and sharing that knowledge with others makes me happy.
