Welcome to my shop! I began sewing as a young girl in 4-H and my mother and grandmothers all liked to sew. I have a lovely collection of quilts from one of my grandmothers and crocheted afghans from my other grandmother. I love to draw and do needlework so when my children were little and I was staying home with them I decided to design my own patterns and greeting cards. I have a web site that shows all of my patterns and links to other items I make with my illustrations. www.countrygardenstitchery.comView all patterns by designer (127) »
A hand embroidery tutorial featuring a biscornu project decorated with bee skeps, honey bees and flowers!
A biscornu is an eight sided little pincushion where the edges are sewn together to make eight sides for a neat unique shape. This pattern has two designs, one for the top and one for the bottom. Easy stitching with stem stitch, back stitch and some satin stitching. The pattern comes with a detailed tutorial for finishing the biscornu. It is a fun and useful project. They make great pincushions, sachets and lovely gifts! You can change the colorway if you want to and it would look cute in redwork! The colors used in the model are noted in the pattern.
This hand embroidery pattern includes a photo page, two hand embroidery patterns, suggested supply list, embroidery instructions, and a several page detailed photo illustrated tutorial to finish the project.
