Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Basic Cross Stitch

Pattern Description:

This cross stitch was originally created for use with a cross stitch iPhone case, but can easily be adapted to different uses!

This little star design is based on a traditional Norwegian weaving motif that can be found on tapestries and blankets. On my case I stopped after a few rounds of stitching, rather than filling the entire case, but feel free to keep stitching until the entire back is filled in. The chart is big enough for the whole back.

The cross stitch cases for the iPhone come in many different stitch counts (mine is about 22x41 stitches) so you may need to adapt the pattern to fit your case. The black area on the pattern is not stitched but rather denotes the corners on my case that were rounded (so could not be stitched) and the cutout for the camera lens. Please see my blog for more notes about stitching this case.

This pattern includes a black and white chart and a floss key.
