Pattern Description:
Very easy - beginner friendly.
The Americana Quilt series of designs are very easy to stitch, using only simple backstitch. Most designs use only a few colors, and charts are easy to read and printed in color.
A perfect take-along project, requiring a minimum of materials. Most designs in this series can be completed in just a few hours.
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- Finished size of design area is approximately 7x7".
Materials:
- 12x12" 14-count Aida or 28-count evenweave fabric.
- Embroidery floss in colors specified in pattern, or of your own choice.
You Will Also Need:
- Embroidery needle, scissors, and embroidery hoop or frame.

About the Designer
When I was about five, my grandmother pinned the edge of a dishtowel to my skirt to hold it taut while I embroidered my initials. When I finished stitching, I discovered I'd stitched the towel to my skirt. Oh well. It did not deter me from having many adventures as I tried all types of needle crafts, but I always seem to return to my favorite, counted-thread embroidery.
